A-Level Maths Course

Our comprehensive online A-Level Maths course follows the Edexcel specification (9MA0) in one or two academic years.

Three written examination papers taken at the end of the course.

Paper 1 – Pure Maths – 2 hours – 100 marks

Paper 2 – Pure Maths – 2 hours – 100 marks

Paper 3 – Statistics and Mechanics – 2 hours – 100 marks

A-Level Maths is graded and certified on a six-grade scale from A* to E, where A* is the highest attainable grade, using the total combined marked (out of 300) for the three compulsory papers. Individual papers are not graded. Students whose level of achievement is below the minimum judged by Pearson to be of sufficient standard to be recorded on a certificate will receive an unclassified U result.

Assessment centres (local to each student) will be confirmed during the course.

The course is taught over one or two academic years (starting September 2020), split into 3 or 6 terms respectively.

Online classes are 2 hours per session. High level, fast track tuition is provided using proven methods. See the Courses Timetable for more information.

Homework will be set to enhance learning and informal assessments will be carried out during the course to track progress.

All essential course materials are provided i.e. textbooks. Students need their own notebooks, stationery (pens etc.), CASIO fx-991EX CLASSWIZ scientific calculator

 

and Geometrical school set (30cm ruler with metric and imperial graduations, 180 degree protractor, 45 degree set square, 60 degree set square and compass).

Additional resources are provided through a private Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) – including videos and subject notes. Access is essential to enhance learning, and complete the course.

An internet connection and up-to-date browser is needed to access the online classes and VLE.

Grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths.

Good reading and writing skills in English.
